PR experts treat Kadyrov family's spending for promotion on Instagram as moderate

The 2.4 million roubles for promoting six accounts of Ramzan Kadyrov's family members on the Instagram is a relatively low cost, not enough to get into top bloggers, PR experts believe. In general, Kadyrov invests greater money into the image of his children, said Ruslan Kutaev, President of the Assembly of Caucasian Nations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the rap singer, Morgenstern, said that he had received 400,000 roubles for promoting each of the accounts of Kadyrov's family members and his associates on Instagram. According to the 1Adat Telegram Channel, the aim of the promotion was getting verified on the Instagram, guaranteeing the impossibility of blocking the page based on users' complaints.

400,000 roubles is not enough to promote an account on the Instagram, says Alexander Likhtman, the founder of communication agencies 2L and Smartcomm. He is also confident that if Kadyrov's account is destroyed by the Instagram administration, the head of Chechnya will not suffer serious losses, except for financial ones, which are hardly important to him.

Politicians often order public PR actions for themselves, said Andrei Kozlov, Director of the PR agency "Kozlov&Arakelyan PR-Group". He believes that blocking Kadyrov's account would only increase his popularity in social networks.

In 2017, Kadyrov's Facebook and Instagram accounts were blocked after the US added him to the Magnitsky sanctions list, calling him responsible for human rights violations in Chechnya.
