Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of a shelling attack on Martakert

The Azerbaijani troops used "Smerch" heavy multiple missile launchers to shell the city of Martakert, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh reported. The number of the Defence Army soldiers killed during the hostilities has reached 1025.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh have reported about missile attacks by the Azerbaijani troops on the outskirts of Stepanakert (the Azerbaijani name is Khankendi, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), the city of Shushi (Shusha), and surrounding villages. Two residents of Stepanakert were injured and hospitalized.

Martakert (the Azerbaijani name is Agdere, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") was also subjected to shelling attacks from "Smerch" heavy multiple missile launchers, the press service for the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD reported. "The enemy has once again violated the requirements of the international humanitarian and customary law and shells exclusively peaceful villages, towns, and cities. There are casualties among the civilian population as a result of the shelling attacks," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD as reporting.

Today, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh has also posted on its website a list of recently killed soldiers of the Defence Army. There are 51 names in the list. Most of the killed soldiers were born in 2000-2001, while the oldest of the killed was 50 years old.

Earlier, the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD has made public the list of the killed soldiers on October 25, and by that time, the total number of the killed soldiers of the Defence Army had reached 974. Thus, by now it has grown to 1025.
