Two Stepanakert residents wounded in missile attack

Azerbaijani militaries have shelled an outskirt of Stepanakert; two persons were wounded. The city of Shushi and surrounding villages were also shelled, the Nagorno-Karabakh authorities have stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on October 26, a new agreement on a humanitarian truce in the Karabakh conflict zone entered into force, but already during the first hours after, the parties exchanged accusations of violating the truce.

Today, Azerbaijani troops have used a "Smerch" multiple launch missile system to attack one of the outskirts of Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Emergency Service of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported. "Houses and vehicles have been destroyed; two residents were wounded and taken to hospital," the Service has stated in his message posted on the Facebook.

Azerbaijani militaries are shelling Shushi and Stepanakert, the press service of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported. "This morning, Azerbaijan resumed shelling of Stepanakert, Shushi and nearby villages. The night in the Karabakh conflict zone passed in a tense atmosphere," the "Sputnik-Armenia" has reported today.

The Azerbaijani name of the city of Shushi is Shusha, and of Stepanakert is Khankendi.

In the Askeran District (occupies the territory of the Khojaly and part of the Agdam Districts of Azerbaijan, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") and in several other directions of the front in Nagorno-Karabakh, heavy battles are underway, said Vagram Pogosyan, the press secretary of the president of the unrecognized republic.
