The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 16, a protest action was held in front of the UN office in Yerevan. Then the protestors criticized the international organization for being passive in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and accused the UN of ignoring the use of prohibited types of weapons and the military support of Azerbaijan from Turkey.
Today, the Armenian Diaspora in France has organized a protest action with the demand to recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh. The protesters blocked A7 Lyon-Marseilles, one of the country's major highways. While the protesters were walking along the highway, a group of men attacked them. One of the activists was injured during a clash. The protesters believe the attackers were ethnic Turks. "We gathered for a peaceful protest action and blocked the highway to Valence. A traffic jam occurred. Five Turks armed with clubs, a hammer, and knives got out of one of the cars and attacked us," said one of the activists.
