Incident with doctor Dagaev shows methods of lawlessness and intimidation in Chechnya

Facebook users have pointed out that the information about the execution of the well-known Chechen surgeon, Salakh Dagaev, is the result of lawlessness, atmosphere of fear and intimidation of local residents that reigns in the republic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the surgeon, Salakh Dagaev, had performed a surgery, after which the female patient died. She turned out to be a relative of an associate of the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov. According to the 1Adat Telegram Channel, after the surgery, the surgeon was kidnapped and beaten to death.

The 1Adat Telegram Channel has found out that the deceased woman was not a Kadyrov's relative. She was operated on in July. Her relatives, according to the channel, turned to the former Chechen law enforcer, who punished the doctor.

"They tortured him terribly and cruelly, but failed to define the degree of their sadism; and Salakh's heart stopped," the channel has informed. Its sources have added that Ramzan Kadyrov's relative, who had intimidated the doctor's family, helped to "cover up" the doctor's death.
