Armenia and Azerbaijan report battles along entire frontline

The positions of Azerbaijani troops deployed in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled at night in three directions of the front; and by morning, local battles began along the entire contact line, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated. Its Armenian counterpart has announced armed clashes in all sectors of the frontline.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the night on October 21 in the conflict zone passed in a tense atmosphere, the Azerbaijani MoD reported Armenian troops' attacks in the Agdere, Fizuli-Djebrail and Gubadli front directions. On October 21, Azerbaijani authorities announced the restoration of their control over 22 dwelling settlements.

"Armenian troops attacked positions of the Azerbaijani Army with small arms, mortars and cannons," the Azerbaijani MoD has claimed.

The Armenian MoD has confirmed clashes along the entire contact line. At night, the situation in the conflict zone was tense, Shushan Stepanyan, the press secretary of the Armenian MoD wrote in her Facebook.
