Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of shelling during body exchange

Armenian military servicemen have shelled from mortars the doctors who were taking casualties' bodies at the troops contact line, one medic was wounded, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 13, Artsrun Ovannisyan, the spokesman of the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated that the body exchange procedure was disrupted due to a ceasefire violation in the conflict zone. He has noted that the Azerbaijani side allowed several bodies to be taken away, to which the Armenian one responded proportionally; then, the truce was broken.

The Azerbaijani MFA has accused Armenian militaries of shelling doctors. "The Armenian Armed Forces opened mortar fire on a group of Azerbaijani doctors who were collecting the bodies of Armenian servicemen near Sugovushan in the Terter District," the "Aze.az" quoted the Azerbaijani MFA's statement on October 13.

"As a result, one medic was seriously wounded," the MFA was quoted by the "Vesti.az".
