Oppositional blogger's relatives curse him for criticizing Kadyrov

Relatives of Said-Khusein Magomadov, who lives in Austria and criticizes Chechen authorities on his YouTube channel, have recorded a video message cursing the blogger. The video appeal was posted on the Instagram public "ChP Chechnya" on October 11.

"The Magomadov clan has severely criticized and cursed their relative Said-Khusein from Austria," says the description of the video clip.

In the video, which lasts just over five minutes, one of the men introduced himself as Said-Khusein Magomadov's uncle. "Because of him, we got together. He uploads all sorts of records on the YouTube. If he were a man, he would not say such things about women and others. He went there, settled and brought us this concern," the man said in the Chechen language, whose words were translated by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Another participant introduced himself as Said-Khasan Magomadov, the blogger's brother. "If he were a man, he would come and say everything he wants to our faces, and not saying such things from afar. Our father and mother are there. They are now very upset; he doesn't come to them and doesn't even call them to ask about their health. I went there, tried to contact him, but he wrote an application against me; and now I cannot go there, I am on the wanted list. We'll somehow try to reach him; and if someone helps us with it, then, we will only say thanks," he has stated.

According to the blogger's brother, "someone writes texts for him and gives him to read." Besides, relatives of Said-Khusein Magomadov assert that the blogger is "unhealthy."
