Parties to Karabakh conflict show different attitude to losses reports

Azerbaijan does not publish the names of its military servicemen perished during the aggravation of the Karabakh conflict, as it suffers great losses, but the society is ready for them, Pavel Felgengauer, a military expert, believes. The data on losses among Azerbaijani militaries is not published in order not to corrupt the nation's morale, Alexander Perendjiev, another expert, has noted.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, has stated that Armenia is ready to make concessions to resolve the Karabakh conflict, if Azerbaijan is ready to do the same.

"Armenia clearly has not expected such agility from Azerbaijanis. The situation is desperate, catastrophic, Armenians are overwhelmed. They turned out to be unprepared for the war; their enemy's qualitative superiority seems to be observed," said Pavel Felgengauer, a military observer of the "Novaya Gazeta" newspaper.

He has suggested that because of its offensive operation, Azerbaijan may suffer greater losses than expected; therefore, its losses are not disclosed.

According to Alexander Perendjiev, a political analyst, Azerbaijan is ready to suffer serious losses but win the war.

Nagorno-Karabakh is publishing the names of its casualties, who become martyrs in the eyes of residents of the unrecognized republic, Alexander Golts, a military observer, believes.
