Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of shelling attacks on four villages

The positions of the Azerbaijani troops in villages located near the border with Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled 32 times over 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 13, Azerbaijan registered 31 shelling attacks on its positions over 24 hours. In its turn, on September 12, Nagorno-Karabakh accused Azerbaijan of 310 shelling attacks over a week.

The ceasefire regime was violated 32 times over 24 hours, and the positions of the Azerbaijani troops were shelled, including from large-calibre machine guns, the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD reports today.

According to the MoD of Azerbaijan, the fire came from the direction of the Berd and Chambarak Districts of Armenia, as well as from the territories controlled by the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh. "The positions of the Azerbaijani troops in the villages of Alibeili, Agdam, Kokhanebi, and Asrik Djyrdakhan in the Tovuz District and at unnamed heights in the Gadabay Districts were shelled," Azerbaijani MoD reports on its official website.

Let us remind you that escalation of the conflict on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan took place on July 12. According to the official information, in the period from July 12 to July 27, six soldiers from the Armenian side were killed and other 38 people were injured, including 35 soldiers, two policemen, and one civilian. The authorities of Azerbaijan reported about 13 killed and four wounded soldiers.
