Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of 44 shelling attacks over 24 hours

The Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns and sniper rifles and 44 times violated the ceasefire over 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported.

The positions of the Azerbaijani troops in the villages of Agdam, Kokhanebi, and Asrik Djyrdakhan in the Tovuz District and in the village of Garaveliler in the Gadabay District came under fire, the Azerbaijani MoD reported on its official website.

Let us remind you that escalation of the conflict on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan took place on July 12. According to the official information, in the period from July 12 to July 27, six soldiers from the Armenian side were killed and other 38 people were injured, including 35 soldiers, two policemen, and one civilian. The authorities of Azerbaijan reported about 13 killed and four wounded soldiers.
