Chechnya residents think that power agents have killed peaceful people and gave them out to be militants
The "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier that on October 7, 2006, three militants were killed in Chechnya. According to the information broadcasted by central channels of the Russian TV, they were Buvadi Bataev, 22, Zelimkhan Kantaev and Muslim Ibragimgadzhiev, who were killed because they allegedly refused to obey the post militiamen and stop their car.
However, according to a source of the Chechen Committee for National Salvation (CCNS), these men had been detained back on October 4, 2006, in the evening, then, they were subjected to tortures forcing to draw out their confessions. In response to their categorical refusal, they were executed, and the case was presented to Russian public as liquidation of militants, thus, adding to the figures in reports of fighting terror and bandits in the Chechen Republic.
The CCNS' information stresses that it was far from being the first instance when militaries assassinated peaceful people in Chechnya.
