Patrushev denies using polonium in Chechnya
Statement by Akhmed Zakaev, emissary of Chechen separatists in London, about use by Russian special agencies of radioactive materials in Chechnya is a parcel of rubbish, Nikolai Patrushev, FSB director, has declared.
"These Akhmed Zakaev's assertions are utter horseshit," Mr. Patrushev reported in response to comment on the latest Akhmed Zakaev's statement that Russian special services had used polonium-210 in Chechnya, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
We remind you that at Litvinenko's funeral, Akhmed Zakaev also reminded the ceremony participants about the decedent's testimony, who had asked, in his words, when it would become possible, to bring his remnants to the Caucasus and bury into a real Moslem cemetery. Zakaev said that one day he would fulfill his friend's request: "Should I not manage to do it, I'll make a will to my sons and grandsons."
