Litvinenko poisoning: interrogation of Lugovoj postponed

Interrogation of Andrei Lugovoj, a Scotland Yard's suspect of poisoning Alexander Litvinenko, that was tonight, has been postponed. The ITAR-TASS has reported that advocate Andrei Romashov who is Mr. Lugovoj's authorized representative Meadow said that "we expect it to be held tomorrow or the day after tomorrow." "So far, the representatives of law enforcement bodies have not informed us about the time and place," the lawyer added.

Advocate Romashov has emphasized that the doctors who are examining Lugovoj do not object to his conversation with investigators.

We remind you that British police finds Lugovoj to be the main witness in the case of Alexander Litvinenko's poisoning. Together with his two friends and business partners, Dmitri Kovtun and Vyacheslav Sokolenko, met Alexander Litvinenko in the bar of London hotel Millennium Mayfair on November 1.

One of these friends - Mr. Kovtun - has already been interrogated by investigators of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Russia and their colleagues from the Scotland Yard as a witness in the case of Litvinenko's death.

Meanwhile, Italian Mario Scaramella, an informant of the ex-FSB employee, was let out from the University College hospital, the "Interfax" informs with reference to the BBC. Scaramella was monitored at the hospital after polonium-210 traces were detected in his organism. Presumably, this radioactive substance was used to poison Litvinenko.
