Azerbaijan registers 23 shelling attacks in Karabakh conflict zone

Over 24 hours, the positions of the Azerbaijani troops were shelled both in the Karabakh conflict zone and on the border with Armenia, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 24, the Azerbaijani MoD registered 22 shelling attacks on the positions of the Azerbaijani troops, including from large-calibre machine guns.

The ceasefire regime was violated 23 times within 24 hours, and the fire came both from the direction of Armenia and from the territories controlled by the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh, the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD reports today.

"The positions of the Azerbaijani troops at anonymous heights in the Gadabay District came under fire. The positions of the Azerbaijani troops were also shelled from the positions located near the occupied villages," the Azerbaijani MoD reported on its official website.

Till present, the Ministries of Defence of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet posted on their official websites any comments on the statement released by the Azerbaijani MoD.
