In Ingushetia, law enforcers are combing forests in the Sunzha District in a search for a group of militants led by Aslan Byutukaev, considered to be the organizer of the attack on Grozny in 2014, sources report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 13, the operational and search activities were launched over the Assa River in the Sunzha District.

In the forests of the Sunzha District on the border with Chechnya, the law enforcers are engaged in the search for one of the last active militant groupings. It is led by Aslan Byutukaev, also known as Amir Khamzat, the "Interfax" reports today with reference to its own source.

Aslan Byutukaev is one of the leaders of Chechen militants. The law enforcement bodies claim he is responsible for the attack on Grozny in December 2014. According to the official information, in the above incident, the law enforcement bodies lost 14 fighters killed and 36 wounded, while the militants lost 11 people. The attack on Grozny in 2014 damaged the prestige of the Chechen authorities, since earlier, they had repeatedly claimed that "Chechnya had completely defeated terrorism."
