Residents of Chechnya reprove publication of a video with a quarantine violator

A video showing a Chechen resident hiding from the police gathered compassionate comments on Instagram. Users who left their comments under the video called filming and publishing of such videos to be unacceptable.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 27, Ramzan Kadyrov announced a step-by-step lifting of restrictions in Chechnya, but on April 29, he ordered to tighten control over citizens' movement due to violations of self-isolation regime.

Since April 13, residents of Chechnya are forbidden to leave their homes without special permits.

In the video posted on May 12 in the Instagram public account "ChP Grozny_95", a young man is rushing about along a deserted street, and after the second attempt to escape, he decides to climb over a high fence of a private house. Immediately after he is hiding behind the fence, a police car drives along the street. The post is accompanied by a call not to violate the quarantine.

Persons who disseminate such videos cannot be called men, user shnexx_ states. "Earlier, there was an easy life without all those cameras, and now those dirty creatures are filming and posting [videos]," commented user shnexx_ as translated from the Chechen language by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

In their comments, some users expressed their sympathy for the young man hiding from the police. "Poor creature, how you are rushing around," user sidik4063 wrote in the Chechen language. "This is to what the people have been brought to," user karantin_7_7_7 noted.
