Dagestani "Rospotrebnadzor" bans visiting temples and cemeteries

Until the end of April, residents of Dagestan will be able to visit cemeteries only for funerals; while access to worshiping is prohibited, says the resolution of the chief sanitary doctor of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Dagestan is under self-isolation regime since April 1.

Because of the coronavirus spread, a number of restrictions have been introduced in Dagestan; in particular, it is forbidden to visit cemeteries until April 30, except for funerals, Nikolai Pavlov, the republic's chief sanitary doctor, has decreed.

Until April 30, leaders of all religious organizations are forbidden to hold ceremonies and services in the presence of people; it is recommended to broadcast them online or on television. Only the clergymen and people who help in conducting services can visit religious buildings, says the resolution posted on the website of the "Rospotrebnadzor" branch for Dagestan.
