YouTube users urge not to criticize Kadyrov for humiliation of Akhmetkhanov

No one should criticize the leader of Chechnya for public humiliation of Aslambek Akhmetkhanov, because the latter allowed himself to voice blasphemy. This opinion was shared by some users who left their comments on the YouTube channel of blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 1, the "Grozny" TV Channel showed a story reporting how Ramzan Kadyrov reprimanded Aslambek Akhmetkhanov, a resident of the Gekhi village, for drinking alcoholic beverages in a company of women and shooting in the air. Aslambek Akhmetkhanov apologized to the leader of Chechnya in front of a video camera. After that, no one sees Aslambek Akhmetkhanov in the village, and he has stopped contacting his relatives and friends, his fellow villagers report.

Blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov accused Ramzan Kadyrov of cowardice, since he publicly humiliated Aslambek Akhmetkhanov, who could not respond to the insult.

Many commentators found Ramzan Kadyrov's actions justified. "When the man says: 'Let the one who forbade us to drink alcohol be cursed,' then how can you address the people like him? I'm a Muslim, and I've been hurt by those words," Umar Nazirov noted.

While arguing with Tumso Abdurakhmanov, some commentators have emphasized that they respect the blogger and are not supporters of Ramzan Kadyrov. "Aslambek himself is to blame. Religion should not be mixed with drinking alcohol," Abbas Fakhradov wrote.

"The man has publicly showed that he does not care about all laws and quarantines. He is a Muslim who was drinking alcohol and recorded that on video," summed up Vova Vova.

The sharp reaction of Ramzan Kadyrov to the Aslambek Akhmetkhanov's behaviour is related to his mocking the quarantine regime, says political analyst Ruslan Martagov. Ramzan Kadyrov demanded to imprison quarantine violators, deprive them of food, and bury them in pits.
