Child wounded in shelling on Armenian-Azerbaijani border

As a result of a shelling attack from the Azerbaijani side, two Armenian soldiers and a child from the village of Voskevan were wounded, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported. The wounded persons were taken to Yerevan; the health condition of the wounded child is assessed as grave.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on March 30, the Azerbaijani MoD claimed 24 shelling attacks committed by Armenia during the past 24 hours.

In its turn, the Armenian MoD claimed an "attempt of a sabotage action" undertaken by the opponent in the Tavush section of the frontline. According to the MoD, in the evening on March 30, the villages of Baganis and Voskevan were also shelled by Azerbaijan.

In the village of Voskevan, the above child was wounded, when he was on the balcony at the time of the shelling. Besides, two Armenian soldiers were slightly wounded, Shushan Stepanyan, the press secretary of the Armenian MoD wrote in her Facebook page.

Both soldier and the child were taken to Yerevan. The soldiers were placed to the Yerevan military hospital; their health condition is stable, Ms Stepanyan has added, as translated by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The condition of the child is stably grave, but there is no threat to his life, Alina Nikogosyan, the press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Public Health, wrote in her Facebook page.

The Azerbaijan State Frontier Service has commented on the incident on its website, blaming the opponent for aggravating the situation in the conflict zone.
