Dispute over killed Gasanguseinov brothers' case results in conflict among Dagestani MPs

At a session of the Dagestani parliament, MP Omargadji Aliev has reproached the republic's Minister of Internal Affairs and noted that till present, the case on the killing of the Gasanguseinov shepherd brothers has not been resolved. A dispute about the investigators' inaction resulted in a quarrel among Dagestani MPs.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from November 14, 2019, Murtazali Gasanguseinov, a father of the killed brothers, and activist Djambulat Gasanov hold pickets with the demand to bring to justice the law enforcer, who earlier reported on the killing of two militants.

17-year-old and 19-year-old Nabi and Gasangusein Gasanguseinov were killed during a special operation carried out on August 23, 2016. The law enforcement bodies declared them militants, but fellow villagers did not agree with the allegation.

"For the third year I have been asking the same question concerning the Gasanguseinov brothers," the "Novoe Delo" (New Cause) quotes MP Omargadji Aliev as stating. According to him, the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) should investigate the case and punish the persons responsible for the killing of the Gasanguseinov brothers.

Omargadji Aliev claims that he has been highlighting the case on the killing of the Gasanguseinov brothers for more than a year, but many MPs still continue keeping silence.

After that, MP Esenbulat Magomedov recalled the great job done by the Dagestani Minister of Internal Affairs.
