First patient with coronavirus dies in Azerbaijan

A woman from Azerbaijan who visited Iran has died from a coronavirus, the operational headquarters under the Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that 15 cases of the coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan. Three patients were discharged. As on March 11, 12 patients were receiving medical treatment.

According to the operational headquarters, besides the coronavirus infection, the deceased woman, who was born in 1969, was diagnosed with a number of serious chronic deceases. In the course of the medical treatment, the patient got internal organ dysfunction syndrome, and doctor failed to save the woman's life.

Members of the deceased woman's family and people in contact with her have been placed under quarantine.
