Two soldiers decease in Nagorno-Karabakh

Soldiers Tigran Manvelyan and Tigran Mkhoyan got fatal gunshot wounds in military units, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh reported.

Both soldiers, born in 2000, died "under unclear circumstances", the "Sputnik Armenia" reports with reference to the press service of the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 24, regular soldiers Henry-Hayk Zakaryan and Armen Mesropyan were injured in one of the military units of the Defence Army.

Prior to that, on January 21, the Armenian parliament adopted a bill according to which the Armenian Criminal Code was supplemented with an article on bringing to suicide in the army. Now, the article on the above crime in the army provides up to 14 years of imprisonment. According to the Prosecutor's Office of Armenia, in 2019, seven soldiers of the armies of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh committed suicide.
