Social network users demand to punish law enforcers after "honour killing" in Ingushetia

A resident of Ingushetia killed his sister after a leak of the video of Isa Altemirov's detention into the Internet, Facebook and Instagram users have noted. It was the leak that has provoked him, commentators assert.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after an attempt to detain Altemirov, who was suspected of involvement in a criminal grouping of blackmailers, a video shot by operative agents appeared on the Internet. The woman, who got into the video, was killed on the following day. Her brother confessed to the murder. According to his version, his sister had dishonoured the family.

On February 7, Isa Altemirov, suspected of extorting money from women under the threat of spreading defamatory videos, died during his arrest, by jumping from the fifth level. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia, there were a 36-year-old resident of Ekazhevo, a 23-year-old girl from the neighbouring republic and a 33-year-old resident of Magas in that apartment at the moment.

Let us remind you that "honour killings" were named among the most urgent women's problems in Northern Caucasus at the awarding ceremony of Doctor Aishat Magomedova Prize in September 2019.
