Soldier dies in NKR

Vagram Avagyan, a soldier, has died from a gunshot wound received under not yet сlarified circumstances, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has informed today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2019, at least 49 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Armenia and the Defence Army of the NKR perished: 20 of them – during their military service; and other 29 persons died outside their military service, the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Armenia has reported.

Vagram Avagyan, born in 2000, who received a mortal gunshot wound today, took his service in one of the military units under the central command. An investigation is underway into the circumstances of the incident, says the website of the NKR's Defence Army.
