Tumso Abdurakhmanov criticizes Mufti's words about Kunta-haji Kishiev

Even the admirers of Kunta-haji Kishiev disbelieve the statements of the Chechen Mufti about his immortality, the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, has noted.

During the religious events on Kishiev Commemoration Day, Salakh Mezhiev, the Mufti of Chechnya, said that the Sheikh continued preaching Islam in the world. Some residents of Chechnya noted that the statement was contradictory to both historical facts and Islamic norms; and the preacher's personality was largely mythologized. The assertions about the immortality and supernatural abilities of the Chechen preacher, Kunta-haji Kishiev, fit the Sufi doctrine, but contradict the Orthodox Islam, Russian Islamic scholars have stated.

The followers of the wird (teaching) of Kunta-haji Kishiev include Ramzan Kadyrov and most of the officials and religious figures of Chechnya.

"The man lived two or one and a half centuries ago, but he (Mezhiev) states that the man is still alive today," Tumso Abdurakhmanov has emphasized in his video on the YouTube.

The blogger has expressed his surprise that the Mufti and Kadyrov's supporters see no need to change their rhetoric. "Even your followers are already sick and tired of this ... Even they are shocked by what you say, because today is the 21st century, the age of technologies ... Young people are no longer accepting these tales," Abdurakhmanov has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in October 2019, the Mufti of Chechnya accursed Abdurakhmanov for his harsh criticism of the Sufi rites widespread in the republic.
