Georgian villager arrested for two months in South Ossetia
A court in Tskhinvali has arrested Gennady Bestaev, a citizen of Georgia, for two months on suspicion of drug smuggling.
Bestaev was detained for violating the border regime near the dwelling settlement of Khelchua in the Tskhinvali District, the "Sputnik Ossetia" reports with reference to the press service of the KGB (Committee for State Security) of South Ossetia. During a search, they found marijuana on him.
Earlier, Bestaev was repeatedly detained for such offenses and expelled from South Ossetia, the "AlaniaInform" News Agency reports.
He was already detained on November 1, 2017, for two months on charges of illegally crossing the border.
