Law enforcers resume their raids at Makhachkala mosque

On Friday, more than 50 law enforcers checked documents of parishioners of a Makhachkala mosque. They ensured safety in crowded places, the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers are regularly conducting Friday raids in the vicinity of the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala, explaining their actions by concern about citizens' safety.

Law enforcers stop the cars on their way to and from the mosque and check the documents.

A week ago, for the first time in six months, law enforcers failed to conduct their Friday raid, but today they resumed their practice, Garun, a visitor to the mosque, has regretted, noting that the law enforcers stopped him several times near the mosque and copied his personal data.

Magomed Magomedov, the "Tangim" Mosque spokesman, said that he was also stopped for checking documents, when he was driving to the mosque in his car.
