Animated video on Tskaev's case highlights torture impunity in North Ossetia

During four years, investigators and court cannot identify persons guilty of the Vladimir Tskaev's death, and the law enforcers accused of torture try to relieve themselves of responsibility, reports an animated video prepared by Ossetian journalist Alina Alikhanova.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that 39-year-old Vladimir Tskaev, an exemplary family man and a father of two children, deceased after an interrogation at the police department of Vladikavkaz on November 1, 2015. 10 policemen were charged with involvement in the death of Vladimir Tskaev.

Four years have passed since the Vladimir Tskaev's death, but so far, "no one has been punished for the murder:" the defendants are convincing the court that Vladimir Tskaev injured himself, insulting his widow, and trying to delay the investigation into the case, the animated video reports.

Alina Alikhanova has noted that Vladimir Tskaev, who had no problems with the law, was detained on suspicion of injuring Roland Pliev, a fighter of the OMON (riot police). After the death of Vladimir Tskaev, it turned out that he was not involved in the crime.

During four years, Zemfira Tskaeva, a widow of the deceased man, continues to struggle with the system, which deprived her two children of their father.

Out of 52 planned court hearings, only 20 were held, while the rest were postponed for various reasons, the widow of Vladimir Tskaev noted.
