Ingush natives explain Batal-Khadji community's claims against Eldjarkiev

The activities of Ibragim Eldjarkiev at the Ingush Centre "E" (Centre for Combating Extremism, also known as CCE) posed a threat to an influential community of Batal-Khadji followers, and there were calls among them to eliminate him, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by former members of the Batal-Khadji community.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 4, in his appeal to the leader of the republic, Shamil Bulguchev, a native of Ingushetia, claimed that the assassination of Ibragim Eldjarkiev, the chief of the Ingush CCE, had been organized by a person close to leaders of the Batal-Khadji wird (community) for 60 million roubles.

Ibragim Eldjarkiev was shot dead in Moscow on November 2. His brother Akhmed Eldjarkiev, a doctor at a Moscow hospital, also died.

Ibragim Eldjarkiev was killed after he did not succumb to the influence of the Batal-Khadji community, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Shamil Bulguchev, a former member of the Batal-Khadji community, living abroad.

According to Shamil Bulguchev, the activities of the chief of the Ingush CCE "interfered" with the activities of followers of the Batal-Khadji Belkhoroev's doctrine. "In particular, Ibragim Eldjarkiev began to check criminal cases that allegedly involved members of the Batal-Khadji community. Recently, [Ibragim Eldjarkiev] has begun to work very actively in that direction and started 'digging' under the Batal-Khadji community," said Shamil Bulguchev.

After an attempt to dismiss Ibragim Eldjarkiev with the help of "community's people" was unsuccessful, calls began to be heard among members of the Batal-Khadji community to eliminate him, Shamil Bulguchev said.

Advocate Akhmed Kostoev, who works in Moscow, believes that the Batal-Khadji community was able to organize the assassination of the Ingush CCE's chief. "So far, I don't know another such force in the republic which is capable of organizing a murder at such a level in Moscow, apart from secret services. However, the Batal-Khadji community can do it," Akhmed Kostoev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
