Possible participant in Eldjarkiev's murder detained in Moscow

In Moscow, FSB agents have detained Alikhan Oskanov, suspected of involvement in the murder of Ibragim Eldjarkiev, the head of the Ingush "E" Centre (CCE – Centre for Combating Extremism), a law enforcement source has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 2, Ibragim Eldjarkiev was shot dead in Moscow. His brother Akhmed Eldjarkiev, a doctor at a Moscow hospital, also died. Policemen check nine people for involvement in the murder.

The detention of the alleged killers' accomplice was reported by the "Lenta.ru" with reference to its law enforcement sources.

The detainee "was at the venue of the incident at the moment of murder" and was familiar with Eldjarkiev, the "Interfax" writes with reference to an informed source.

On suspicion of a contract killing, "Alikhan Oskanov, born in 1966, has been detained; investigators are working with him," the Telegram channel "112" having links with security bodies agencies has reported. The "Caucasian Knot" cannot verify the information of this anonymous Telegram channel.

Earlier, on November 6, sources reported that investigators had identified the main suspect in the murder of Ibragim Eldjarkiev; and he was searched for in Ingushetia, since the 46-year-old man had left Moscow in a bus moving to Dagestan. The suspect is a member of the influential religious community of Batal-Hadji supporters, and is known as Kolya, his surname is Kartoev, the source has reported.
