Father of shepherds killed in Dagestan demands to fire policeman

At his solo picket in Makhachkala, Murtazali Gasanguseinov, the father of the assassinated shepherd brothers, has demanded to dismiss the policeman, Ibragim Aliev, who had reported about the killing of two militants.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the parents of the Gasanguseinov brothers, killed in 2016, are seeking to punish the law enforcers guilty of their sons' death. Law enforcers have declared that they had killed militants.

The aim of this picket is to draw attention to the fact that investigators "are not efficient in investigating the case," said Djambulat Gasanov, who is representing Gasanguseinovs' interests.

Murtazali Gasanguseinov intends to seek dismissal of Aliev.

"We, parents, demand to find and punish, in all severity of the law, the killers of our children – the Gasanguseinov brothers," he has stated.

In December 2018, the Russian president promised to take the Gasanguseinovs' murder case under his personal control, but later Murtazali Gasanguseinov said that this promise had no affect on the course of the inquiry.
