Chechen budget-funded employees report forced visit to "Akhmat Arena"

The stands at the match of the "Akhmat" Football Club (FC) were again filled with the use of administrative resources. Fans of the club are disappointed with the game of the team.

On October 18, the "Akhmat" FC lost the match to the Moscow "Lokomotiv" FC 2:0.

On September 30, the "Akhmat" FC lost its ninth match of the Russian Premier League out of 11. Magomed Daudov, President of the FC, criticized the team's game and accepted resignation of its head coach Rashid Rakhimov.

Grozny students told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about the forced attendance of the match.

"Earlier this month, we had two subbotniks; we had to take part in them too; now this match," said Aslanbek, a student.

"We can't miss matches, rallies and subbotniks – it'll turn out that you ignore the collective and social life," said Magomed, another student.

Grozny state employees, who receive their salaries from the budget, also had to attend the match.

The use of administrative resources is a common thing for Chechnya; and the fact that the federal centre fails to react to the obvious human rights violations of when using state employees in various events is caused by Kadyrov's special status and his good relations with President Vladimir Putin, a Chechen political analyst believes.
