Law enforcers change tactics of their raids at "Tangim" Mosque

Today, a check of documents of the visitors of the Makhachkala "Tangim" Mosque was held before the collective Friday namaz (prayer), not after as before. The Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has stated that there were no detainees.

Law enforcers are regularly conducting their Friday raids in the vicinity of the "Tangim" Mosque, which has resulted in a decrease of the number of worshipers, a mosque source has reported.

The so-called "prophylactic registration" is claimed to be one of the ways to prevent crime; however, the Dagestani MIA claims that it has not been using it since 2017.

Today, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent counted more than 60 law enforcers conducting their raid at the "Tangim" Mosque.

Idris Yusupov, a journalist, has noted that today law enforcers had gathered at the mosque long before the Friday prayer, and this time checked the arriving, not departing cars. This looks like a change of their tactics, Mr Yusupov has added.
