Author of obscene song apologizes for insulting Chechen girls

Rapper Uretra Batya recorded a video with an apology for the song "A Chechen Girl", and the performer Gangvest denied his involvement in the creation of the song and assured his respect for the Chechen people. Users of Instagram noted the apologies were not enough.

A video appeared on Instagram with an apology from a man who called himself an author of the song "A Chechen Girl".

"I would like to express my huge apologies to Chechen girls and men as well if I insulted them. I fully admit my guilt and understand my mistake," the man says.

On October 5, rapper Guf recorded an apology to the Chechen people for a rude word addressed to women of the Caucasus. Some commentators on social networks suggested that rapper Guf apologized under pressure and recalled the practice of public apologies in Chechnya and beyond the republic.

Today, another video has appeared in the "ChP Chechnya" group, in which performer Gangvest denies his involvement in the creation of the song "A Chechen Girl" and speaks of his respect for the Chechen people. According to Gangvest, he was slandered.

The Gangvest's appeal also provoked an aggressive reaction of commentators.

Umar, a resident of Chechnya, associated the apologies voiced by Uretra Batya with the practice of apologies to the Chechen people.
