Another apology after wedding in Chechnya outrages social network users

The new trend of public apologies for violating folk traditions at wedding parties in Chechnya was continued by a young resident of the republic, who repented of his tears at his sister's wedding party. Social network users have noted that the hero of the video clip is a Kabardian, which means that he is not obliged to observe Chechen traditions, and supported the young man.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 24, Ramzan Kadyrov criticized the wedding videos posted in social networks and stated that he would not allow violators of local customs to live in Chechnya. In particular, he condemned the resident of Chechnya, who appeared in a video with his daughter on her wedding day. Later, the man recorded a video with his apology for the "unworthy act." Another resident of Chechnya publicly repented of his joking attitude to his bride at the wedding party.

According to the historian, Zelimkhan Musaev, flaunting one's feelings at Chechens' wedding parties is not welcome even among women.

The video with an apology of another Chechen resident to Kadyrov for sobbing at his sister's wedding, because he "didn't want to let her go," was posted on the Instagram.

Many commentators stood up for the young man, noting the demonstrative nature of the apologies and saying that those, who posted the video from the wedding party on the Internet, were wrong.

The very fact of repentance for one's behaviour at wedding parties, which does not violate the laws, but simply goes against some customs, has caused bewilderment in many users.
