Azerbaijani MoD releases its version of soldier's death in conflict zone

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan called the version about an attack on the border with Nagorno-Karabakh a lie and reported that deceased soldier Ramin Abdulrakhmanov got lost on the border territory.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the Ministry of Defence of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported about an attack committed by the Azerbaijani troops on September 22 and about the death of one of the attackers. The killed man was "one of the fighters" of the Azerbaijani army, reported the press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defence.

On September 22, Ramin Abdulrakhmanov, a soldier of a front-line military unit, got lost and was killed on the territory of the contact line of the Azerbaijani and Nagorno-Karabakh troops, the "Haqqin.az" reports today with reference to the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD.

"The report of the Armenian side stating that the Azerbaijani army had undertaken a provocation on the front line is a lie," the "Minval.az" quotes the Azerbaijani MoD as reporting.

Azerbaijan appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for assistance in the safe evacuation of the deceased soldier's body, the "Vzglyad.az" reports today.
