Volgograd state servants tell about use of administrative resources before elections

Heads of some budget-funded organizations have demanded from their subordinates to vote for a particular candidate for the governor of the Volgograd Region, voters have informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that September 8 was the Russia's unified voting day.

In Volgograd, some employees of budgetary organizations told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that at work they were forced to vote for a particular candidate for the post of the governor.

"They also told us to bring a few people more with us, and that they will monitor us that we vote correctly. They threatened that if we didn't do it, they would deprive us of the premium," an employee of one of the hospitals said on condition of anonymity.

In Russian regions, including the Volgograd Region, the voter turnout is raised at the expense of state servants, who are threatened with layoffs and loss of premiums, the "Meduza" reported on September 6 with reference to its sources. The "mobilization" scheme is that budget-funded employees are obliged to come to polling stations and bring 3-5 voters with them, most often, their family members, and after the voting to report to their bosses, sources said.
