In his new film, well-known blogger tells about life of Beslan terror act victims

Yuri Dud, a video blogger, has posted a documentary about the terror act in Beslan, in which former hostages, their relatives, politicians and journalists shared their memories and opinions about the causes and consequences of the tragedy.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 1, North Ossetia started mourning events on the 15th anniversary of the Beslan terror act.

Only 14 years after the tragedy, Alexander Matovnikov, the presidential envoy, admitted that the storming of the school had been planned initially, despite protests of local residents. He also confirmed that the school was shelled from a tank.

"Beslan is not only a nightmare of 2004; it's also about very strong people, who are already for 15 years fighting heroically for their health and happiness. The more often and louder we remind about Beslan, the better," says the preview to the film "Beslan. Remember", posted on the Yuri Dud's YouTube channel.

The film shows people who "continue living a normal life, no matter how hard the terror act had hit them," Yuri Dud said. The film heroes are former hostages, in particular, Diana Murtazova, who was in the school with her two sisters.

Besides, the film gives stories of the organizers of the "Beslan Mothers" Committee, the former head of North Ossetia, Taimuraz Mamsurov, whose children were held hostage, and well-known journalists, Elena Milashina and Olga Allyonova, who were in Beslan 15 years ago.

"It was obvious to me that the authorities had no mission to save as many hostages as possible; their task was to eliminate the terrorists; and the people who perished there were treated just as inevitable losses," Ms Allyonova has expressed her opinion about the film.
