NKR accuses Azerbaijan of 130 shelling attacks during week

On August 18-24, Azerbaijani militaries fired more than 1500 shots at the positions of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), its Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the previous week, on August 11-17, the NKR fixed 120 cases of ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan.

"On August 18-24, on the contact line of the NKR's Defence Army and Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the opponent violated the ceasefire regime for more than 130 times, firing about 1500 small-arms shots at Armenian combat posts," the NKR's MoD wrote on its website.

In its turn, on 18-24, Azerbaijan daily reported shelling attacks on the border with Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone. According to the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", during this period the Azerbaijan MoD reported a total of 128 shelling attacks.

Meanwhile, the observation mission of the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe), which inspected the troops contact line on August 21, found no violations.
