Father of Ingush activist asks Putin to protect his son from law enforcers' threats

Magomed Katsiev has written an appeal to the President of Russia, stating that the Ingush activist, Khasan Katsiev, received law enforcers' threats at the SIZO (pre-trial prison), who demand from him to plead guilty.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Khasan Katsiev was detained on April 23, along with Akhmed Nalgiev and Rashid Aushev. The three activists became suspects within the case of clashes with law enforcers at a rally in Magas.

Khasan Katsiev has complained to his father that law enforcers visited him in the SIZO, demanding from him to disclose information about the detained Ingushes and give confessions.

Magomed Katsiev is convinced that law enforcers are putting pressure on his son because of revenge.

"Khasan had worked for the department of economic security and counteracting corruption, and investigated the case of financial violations," said Magomed Katsiev, adding that some law enforcers had been involved in the violations.

His father asked the president to protect his son from law enforcers' threats.

Let us remind you that in April, Khasan Katsiev was already detained after the actions against the border agreement with Chechnya; then, the court fined him.
