MIA claims Circassian activist Martin Kochesoko has pled guilty

Martin Kochesoko, the head of the Circassian NGO named "Khabze", arrested in Kabardino-Balkaria, has confessed to possessing a large stock of drugs, the police assert.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kochesoko was detained in Nalchik on June 7. During the inspection of his car, law enforcers found a pack of drugs. He himself refuses to plead guilty.

In May, Martin Kochesoko reported that an official had visited his parents and stated that their son "should slow down his activity."

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported that the detainee, in the presence of an advocate, admitted his guilt of illegal acquisition and storage of marijuana, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

"Obviously, the activist was forced to make a deal with investigators," the authors of the Telegram channel named "Abrechestvo Veschayet" (Abrek Society Broadcasts) believe. Consideration of the case will cause a broad resonance, especially amid the arrest of 12 high-ranking officials of the MIA for Kabardino-Balkaria, they assert
