Azerbaijan claims shelling of village in conflict zone

Within the last 24 hours, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Karabakh conflict zone, including in the pre-border village, were shelled for 16 times, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported.

According to the MoD, the shelling was conducted from the positions located in the territory of Armenia and "near the occupied villages." In particular, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in the village of Kokhanebi came under fire, says the website of the Azerbaijani MoD.

Let us note here that on June 9, an Azerbaijani soldier died in a shelling on the troops contact line. Azerbaijan accused Armenia of a provocation and stated that the killing of the military serviceman undermines negotiations on settling the situation in the conflict zone.
