Tumso tells about Chechen's grave wound in conflict with law enforcers

A resident of the village of Novye Atagi has lost his leg as a result of his wound received while trying to prevent armed people from kidnapping his neighbour, the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, has reported. According to his story, the shooter was a law enforcer.

Tumso Abdurakhmanov, a well-known critic of Ramzan Kadyrov, made the information of what happened on May 30 in the village of Novye Atagi, Shali District of Chechnya, public on June 2 in his video entitled "Another crime of Kadyrov people – Abu-Bakar Gabanukaev", posted on his YouTube channel.

Abubakar Gabanukaev, a 24-year-old resident of Novye Atagi, ran to cries for help and saw a group of armed persons in civilian clothes trying to kidnap his neighbour, Tumso Abdurakhmanov said in his video. According to his version, his friend was along with Abubakar; and in the course of a verbal quarrel, one of the kidnappers opened fire from his submachine gun. Gabanukaev was seriously wounded and later at hospital his leg was amputated; and his friend received a slight tangential wound. Tumso Abdurakhmanov has noted that, according to his preliminary data, the shooter is an employee of one of Chechen security bodies.

Tumso has emphasized that Abubakar Gabanukaev was unarmed, but now the young man and his friend may face responsibility for attacking law enforcers. "I ask human rights defenders and decent media to draw attention to this monstrous and blatant incident," the blogger has stated.
