NKR Army soldier dies

A conscript died as a result of shelling from the Azerbaijani side, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today Azerbaijan has claimed 22 shelling attacks of its positions from Armenia and from the territories controlled by NKR authorities.

Sipan Melkonyan, 19, has perished, the NKR's MoD has reported.

Earlier, on May 30, an Azerbaijani soldier, Agil Omarov, perished in the Karabakh conflict zone. Azerbaijan stated that he was killed by a sniper, while the NKR refuted its involvement in the soldier's death.
