Two arrested Ingush activists released
Ibragim Muzhakhoev and Adam Azhigov, participants of protests in Ingushetia, have been released from the SIZO (pre-trial prison) under the recognizance not to leave. They were arrested in early April within the case of attacking policemen during protests in Ingushetia.
On March 26, residents of Ingushetia, without the authorities' sanction, extended the rally in Magas, which led to clashes with law enforcers. According to investigators, ten law enforcers were injured. On April 2, mass arrests of activists began.
Mr Azhigov, accused of using violence against a power agent, had his freedom restriction softened, the public "FortangaORG" reports.
On May 25, Muzhakhoev was also released. His advocate, Kaloi Akhilgov, wrote in the Twitter that the activist was arrested because he "could threaten victims and witnesses in a criminal case, as well as falsify and destroy proofs."
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 23, a court in Nalchik ruled to extend the detention by four months of Bagaudin Khautiev and four other Magas protesters.
