South Ossetia decides to close border with Georgia during school leavers' parties

The KGB of South Ossetia reports the decision to close border crossing points with Georgia for the period from May 24 to May 26 because of the enhanced security measures during the "Last Bell" celebrations at schools.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that South Ossetia often announces the closure of the border with Georgia for several days. In particular, in the period from May 25 to 27, 2018, the border was also closed for the time of the school leavers' parties at schools.

Starting from 8:00 p.m. on May 24, the passage of people through checkpoints on the border with Georgia will be stopped because of the enhanced security measures during the "Last Call" celebrations at schools, the press service of the South Ossetian KGB reported on May 23.

"At 6:00 a.m. on May 26, the operation of the border checkpoints will be resumed in the usual mode," announces the KGB of South Ossetia on its page on Facebook.
