Three relatives of Ingush activist Akhmed Pogorov detained

Law enforcers have searched the houses of Akhmed Pogorov, a co-chairman of the World Congress of the Ingush People, and his relatives in the city of Karabulak, and detained two Pogorov's nephews and his brother.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that searches of the houses of Akhmed Pogorov and his relatives were conducted on April 25. According to Akhmed, before the visit of law enforcers he called on the authorities of Ingushetia to help in releasing the arrested activists. Mr Pogorov is under threat of arrest, since the authorities are seeking to completely decapitate the protest, said the advocates.

On March 26, the rally participants in Magas refused to disperse; and on March 27, protesters clashed with law enforcers. According to investigators, 10 law enforcers received traumas. On April 7, in his video message, Akhmed Pogorov treated the events in Magas as a provocation and promised to pay all the fines imposed on activists.

According to Magomed Bekov, an advocate, he still doesn't know the reasons for the detention of Pogorov and his relatives, and where they all were taken, the "Mediazona" writes.
