Citizens of Georgia detained on Abkhazian border

Abkhazian law enforcers have detained Zaza Shariya, a Georgian citizen, accusing him of illegally crossing the border, the Georgian State Security Service (SSS) has informed. Their counterparts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Abkhazia have specified that Shariya was wanted on suspicion of committing robberies.

According to the SSS, the 33-year-old Shariya was detained in the village of Tagiloni, Gali District, on charges of illegally crossing the border of Abkhazia. The observation mission of the European Union was informed about this, the "InterPressNews" reports.

Zaza Shariya, a native of Sukhumi, who lives in Tbilisi, had been wanted since 2013 on suspicion of robberies in Abkhazia, the "Apsadgyol-info" reports.
