Law enforcers resume raids at Tangim mosque in Makhachkala

Asadulla Aliev, a Muslim, said that on April 26, he and several other believers were detained after the Friday prayer at the "Tangim" mosque in Makhachkala.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the believers visiting the "Tangim" mosque in Makhachkala complained about regular Friday raids conducted by law enforcers. After believers appealed to the prosecutor's office on March 12, there were no more raids.

On April 26, law enforcers again deployed a mobile post near the "Tangim" mosque. According to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, about 15 law enforcers took part in the raid.

Asadulla Aliev, a local resident, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he was detained after the prayer in the "Tangim" mosque. He noted that he was going from the mosque to his work, but was stopped by law enforcers and taken to the police station.

According to his story, two other believers were detained along with him; and at the police station he saw some three or four other people who visit the "Tangim" mosque.
